How long are sessions?
Individual sessions are 50 minutes long unless you and your therapist decide a longer session is more appropriate. Often couples and families appreciate a longer session.
What happens in therapy?
We believe that therapy should be a safe place to work on your goals. We want you to feel comfortable talking about whatever you need to in session and to not feel like there is an agenda. With that being said, we respect your resources and will hold you accountable to working on the goals that you set. We use various types of therapy and will discuss our approach with you so that you always feel comfortable and in the loop. Our hope is that you feel comfortable with your therapist and like you really know who they are and that creates safety for risk taking and change. Therapy is your space and we will always honor that.
Will anybody know I am in therapy?
Only if you choose to tell them. We will never break confidentiality unless you specifically sign a Release of Information saying we can talk to people in your life. This is generally used for continuity of care (ie: if you are working individually with one of us but would like us to talk to the therapist you are seeing for couples sessions).
Do you accept insurance?
We accept Medicaid, United, BlueCross BlueShield, Aetna, Kaiser.
How can I pay for sessions?
We keep a credit card on file and this will be used for payment unless you plan to utilize your insurance. If so, we will let you know if a co-pay is due. Payment is due at the time of services.
What is the cost of a session?
Our team is made up of therapists with various levels of training and education. Rates are based on this. You can find this information on each therapist’s tab under “Our Therapists”. Each therapist reserves a few spots in their caseload for clients who could benefit from a sliding scale. If you need a lower fee, please chat with your therapist.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 24 hours notice if you cannot attend session. If you do not provide notice you will be charged for your scheduled time.
